Let me start out by saying I am not a copywriter. Hit me up if you need some smooth written, carefully crafted, and analytically functional text; I know a guy. That guy is actually working on writing this about me page as we speak. So, this about me is more of a placeholder till the good stuff gets back to me.
Who-What-When-Where-Why-How:
Who: I am Amy Walkenhorst, a born artist, and I'm a workaholic. Sounds like a group meeting when I say it like that.
What: I am a graphic designer that never stops learning. I have experience in large format, print, digital, and packaging design. I have the knowledge, passion, and a tiny bit of experience in UX design. Still, I need someone to take a chance on this work because I have no portfolio to show for UX design to date. When I finish my second UX design degree (June 2022), I plan to start school for Motion graphics.
When: I found the love for anything creative and inspiring when I was a child artist. I started out doing freelance work in 2011, then in 2012, I graduated from UMSL and never looked back. I have been working freelance and in-house jobs simultaneously ever since. My schedule now is full flex that means I work all the time and whenever you need me.
Where: I am 100% remote with a home office just outside of St.Louis, MO. However, I love to travel and do work while frequently traveling, so you never really know where I might be.
Why: Confucius said, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." I love everything about graphic design.
How: You contact me and say, "Hey, I need something made, can you help me?" and I say yes, ask you a bunch of questions, do behind-the-scenes work to get you a price, and then I create whatever you need. Ta-Da.
